The Emporium Logan Square was hosting a bunch of boutiques for a warehouse sale yesterday, so after the annual clothing swap, Jess and Sara and I went by to check it out.
The space was great for this sort of thing. All of the picnic tables in front were rearranged to display each boutique’s wares. Then there were some displays along the sides and on the elevated space in the back. The Emporium is a huge space so there was enough space for shopping but it did not interfere with the games too much. It was busy but not jammed.
The day was a beautiful, a sunny spring day, so we enjoyed Radlers while we browsed around. Sara saw many people she knew. Jess got a cute necklace and Sara, a bracelet. I didn’t get anything but had fun looking around. I hope Emporium will host more events like this!
Oh, PS: I heard recently that Emporium would be hosting food trucks now. Like real food trucks, not just here’s a truck inside our place that will make you a sandwich you could have made at home. DönerMen was the food truck takeover today.
